One of my OG hits is my Dorian Gray Serum - named after the novel of the same name by one of my favorite 19th century authors, the flamboyant Oscar Wilde. The titular Dorian Gray was a beautiful young man who never seemed to age because he made a deal with the devil such that his body would never age, while the portrait of him would age hidden away in a closet.
I took this inspiration to create my most potent anti-aging serum, so that your face will stay the same without the assistance of an aging portrait in a hidden closet. This serum contains a very mild retinol (5%) which is delivered in liposome form to improve deliverability of the active ingredient, and a very stable and gentle Vitamin C in terms of a Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate liposome. Other yumminess includes Ceramides (skin-identical lipids that help moisturize and fill in the appearance fine lines), Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, and two types of Yeast Extract (to brighten and soothe your skin). I also infused the Dorian Gray serum with fermented lactobacillus, which enhances cell turnover and increasing hydration for potent anti-aging results.

Before SB, I was a loyal customer of another reputable Asian skin care company. Though their products were fine and non-irritating, it wasn’t until I tried Sabbatical Beauty that my skin quality dramatically improved. I have had sensitive dry skin, my whole life, with patches of redness and prone to acne. SB products keep my skin plump and glowing while improving its texture and decreasing redness.
Dorian Gray Serum is one of the foundational products in my routine. It reduces redness, makes my skin glow, and is non-irritating, unlike other retinol products. It’s better than the super fancy retinol cream my dermatologist prescribed.

The products are great and work as advertised
Battling chronic redness and splotches under and over my eyes for over two years. No luck with Rx Hydrocortisone or Desinode. Purchased this serum (and many other Sabbatical products) and all my eye inflammation issues have resolved, in approximately 7 weeks. I am so happy with the results. Im in my mid 30s and have some wrinkles in my forehead and some crows feet. After using Dorian Gray since October, I started to see some improvement after about 3 months. My crows feet are less prominent and the wrinkles, while still present, are less prominent too. I like the clean neutral scent and since I only use this at night time, it don’t clash with the other oils I use on my body or face after I shower/wash my face nightly. It seeps into the skin really well and the bottle lasts a long time. Since October I’ve purchased 1 travel size and 1 full size. The full size still have about 1/4 of the product left.

I was gifted some birthday money so I could order what I wanted from Sabbatical Beauty. Being a first time customer I took the beauty quiz and was matched with three products including this one. The Dorian Gray serum has absolutely made a difference to my skin. I have rosacea, broken blood vessels, redness, early signs of wrinkles, acne scars and large pores. I took some before and during photos to track the progress- and even missed a day here and there- but I can actually SEE that my skin is more supple, evenly toned and healthier looking than on day 1. I am excited to keep up my skin care with a company I am loving so much!
My skin suffered when this was temporarily unavailable during early lockdown! Fortunately we beat back the damage when it came back in stock. There's nothing like it for retaining moisture and coping with signs of aging.
I have been using this serum since around 2016. Every now and then I think, "Maybe I shouldn't get another one." And then I always do. Because it helps to reduce fine lines and other signs of aging. I just can't bring myself to give it up. It is a sincere staple of my routine. I have not been known to spend a ton on skincare because I only want stuff that works. I have bought at least three Full Size bottles of this special serum - and I'll need a new one soon! If you are frustrated with products that are expensive and don't work, get this. I am 53. And here I am!
Here in the PNW we need to venture out in the sun when opportunity presents itself. I am impressed with the results from DG. Fine lines became less visible, which says a lot given how long covid-related stress/lack of sleep has persisted (unsurprisingly, it turns out that balancing a career and two kids < 5 really shows up on this mom's face). The only negative part of my DG experience -- which shouldn't come as a surprise, given that the product includes retinol -- is that I noticed photosensitivity, despite wearing high SPF and a hat. My melanin-challenged skin probably doesn't help. So, I've pivoted to Lift Serum for the summer and will return to DG once the precious PNW sunshine disappears. Two thumbs up! Do yourself a favor and get some while it's available.
This serum seems to be very effective in reducing the fine lines that I have on my forehead. Love it.
This stuff is so good. I have noticed a definite decrease in my fine lines since starting to use it. The combination of Dorian Gray and Camelia Gold is my new best friend. It has wiped more than a few years off my face.
The Doran Gray serum is what I use at night with the donkey milk on top. My skin is soft and clear when I wake up in the morning and amazingly, not greasy. My skin has never looked as good as it does now using Sabbatical’s products, and I’m 58!
What a great serum! This product makes my skin glow and I notice it’s brighter, clearer, smoother. I use it at night. It’s pretty potent. It’s just takes a few drops!
No more spending a ridiculous amount of time and money on serums that claim to work, only to realize it doesn't.... I LOVE this serum!! It actually makes my skin feel alot smoother and hydrated.. I LOVE Dorian Gray's Anti-Aging Serum. It has reduced the fine lines in the forehead and around my eyes. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin. Even many products from Sabbatical Beauty irritate my skin. But not Dorian Gray. I use 3-4 drops on my entire face. My eczema around my mouth is lessened (although I am not sure what from: my products are Maple Sap toner, Asian Powerhouse serum, and Marine serum) and my skin looks bright and beautiful. I am about to be 30 years old and I think Dorian Gray will be key to preserving my youth.
I have been using SB and DGS for over 2 months. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces of my routine if not THE fav. I wake up in the morning with smoother skin and a glow I have never had. It just feels good. Thank you SB!!
my (pesky) frown lines were greatly reduced after using this serum just after a couple of weeks! i also pat some of this around my eye area. i got the sample size and it’s lasted me around two months - a few drops of this really goes a long, long way. i’ve tried several serums by other brands and their effectiveness did not even come close to this wonder serum.
