Wise Old Crone Facial Oil

I have sensitive skin and Wise Old Crone oil is gentle enough for me while also providing hydration and renewal!

I use this before bed. My skin feels velvety as soon as I apply, and still feels that way in the morning. I've noticed a reduction in fine lines and a bouncier texture. And the smell! It's bewitching.

Sleeping Beauty Oil has been a staple of my PM routine for quite some time. I typically use three (full size bottle) drops on my face, two on my chest, spread with my hands and seal it in with Donkey Gel Sleeping Pack. This usually left me feeling sticky for good 30 minutes+.

Enter Wise Old Crone. WOC is the new name of Sleeping Beauty Oil with a few key upgrades: Lapis Lazuli! It not only comes with a Lapis Lazuli rollerball applicator, it also contains Lapis Lazuli inside the serum to charge it with honesty, compassion and wisdom.

The Crystal Queen Collection is my first foray into rollerball serum application and I am a big fan. What I instantly realized, is that the rollerball applicator provided great coverage with a lot less serum virtually eliminating tackiness. The lapis lazuli glides over my skin; initially cool to the touch, but almost instantly warming. Plus, with this applicator no more spilling my coveted serum down the drain!

Newly returned to crystals, it’s been a long time since I sat with a crystal. Last night, (after reading one of the mindfulness cards) I held WOC in my hand as I sat quietly to see if I could discern anything. After about 20 seconds, there was a slight tingling in my palm. A sign that the crystal is charged and boosting the benefits of WOC with its energy.

I have yet to use a beauty oil from Sabbatical Beauty that I do not like, but this one is definitely my favorite. Since implementing the Sleeping Beauty Oil into my nightly regime, I have seen smaller pores, less reactions and just an overall better appearance in my complexion. I don't know what the fuss is about with Blue Tansy as far as the scent goes - to me it is one of the most divine scents there are, and I crave the scent; it soothes and calms my busy mind at the end of the day. This one is my favorite to use the weeks leading up to my cycle when my skin is particularly oily, because it is a dryer oil than the others, and seems to help control the would-be breakouts. This is absolutely worth the purchase.

I love the smell of the blue tansy. But if I don’t rub it in, I look a little blue or ashen. It takes a while to absorb, so it’s part of my nighttime routine when I’m not rushed and can really get it in all the nooks and crannies. Nice pillowy, bouncy face when all is said and done.

As with all SB products, this comes very concentrated. My skin took a bit of time to adjust but with the east coast weather becoming cooler and dryer (heat is now on), my skin is getting drier too with more fine lines even when layering on thick cream. When I first used this, it broke me out here and there, but recently I started using it again and often as the final step after a light toner and first serum with hyaluronic acid (Without layering on another layer of moisturizer). It makes my skin less red, supple and bouncy, and the most magical thing of all, overnight it killed a lot of my deeper forehead lines and wrinkles around my eyes. Dorian Gray overall was much too rich for me, and I was amazed by this product as an alternative that is more suitable for skin starting to show signs of aging but doesn't need a whole lot of "richness" in terms of skincare products. It is a heavy price tag, but for comparison, I was trying the genaissance de la mer the eye & expression cream on the same forehead lines and after 4 days barely saw any change. This is far superior.

I'm going to give honest feedback because I was asked to review it but the last time I did this I got a negative response so please dont ask if you arent interested in what people have to say. I like trying as many SB products as possible because there are a few that I really like but some are not worth the money. This is one product I dont think I would buy again based on the price. The oil is nice, warm, has an interesting smell and makes my skin glow but not more than any other face oil I have tried. I would put it in the good but not great category.

I've been using this for several years (along with Dorian Gray Serum) and it's completely changed the texture and tone of my skin. Just a couple drops goes a long way. I love this stuff!! Thank you Sabbatical Beauty!!

It's blue, which is interesting. It smells mysteriously good. It makes my skin feel incredible. I was skeptical about trying Wise Old Crone Facial Oil, but it is every bit as luxurious and enriching as advertised. I have noted clearer skin, more even skin tone, reduced wrinkles/fine lines and stroke-able softness. I love it!

I was heartbroken when I came to the end of my stock of discontinued Dorian Gray Beauty Oil. I LOVED it so. But ai asked what could replace it in my routine and Wise Old Crone was recommended. And I am So glad it was. I like the results even better than DGBO! My face has less hormonal acne, less visible pours, and is much suppler and springy to the touch. This stuff is just wonderful. Cannot recommend it enough.

This oil is a go to for me. My skin feels so balanced, nourished, and younger after using. After using for a while the scent just makes me feel calm and appreciative.

I use Wise Old Crone before going to bed at night. I have eczema and very sensitive skin and this oil does not burn or irritate my skin. I use it on my forehead, around my eyes and mouth to plump up those areas. Combines perfectly with the Lavender Snow Sleeping Pack. Giving it 4 stars because I think there are way too many stones inside. For an expensive product there should be more oil, and less stones. In the future, would love to be able to purchase just the oil without the roller ball or stones so I can refill the container and stones I already have, because I LOVE the oil.

I am loving WOC- it’s a part of my evening routine and I have noticed fewer wrinkles and decreased redness. I love everything from the packaging to the lapis lazuli rollerball to the amazing product. The smell is pungent but I find it relaxing. Will definitely be ordering more!

This replaces the original Sleeping Beauty Oil that I am using on most nights. While it works as great as its predecessor and I love the lapis lazuli roller and chips, i sort of miss the old smell which was a very soothing, calming herbal aroma (although some said the smell was too strong but i had loved it much).

Lately, I've been using the Rose Quartz Healing oil every morning and the Wise Old Crone oil at night -- every. single. night. Fine lines around my eyes and mouth have noticeably lessened, and the ritual of using the crystal roller to increase absorption is sooooooo soothing. I like the lapis roller very much; visually, it's beautiful. The scent is forest-like and herbal, to my senses very pleasant. While I love the tinkle of the crystals inside the vial, I wish there were fewer so that I could have more oil! This has fast become a favorite.

I want to explain that I only knocked a star off only because of the blue tansy smell. The results were definitely 5 star but for me personally, I could not get used to the blue tansy smell on its own. I always used this layered with Amethyst Snow Sleeping Pack so the lavender smell would mask the blue tansy. With that being said, I do love the rest of the product. The roller is so so fancy - I love the color of the lapis in the roller and the roller itself being lapis is about the fanciest thing ever. It's also a very good product for 'grounding' because of the anti-inflammatory ingredients and lapis lazuli stones. This also helped with my lupus flareup inflammation. Mostly used for PM because I tend to layer more products for PM than AM.

HOLY COW I did not think I'd love this as much as I do! The Lapis Lazuli roller really seals the deal here, bringing to light the luxurious nature of this oil. I use it after cleansing and before bed, and it works with my skin in a way that doesn't make the oil production worse. I enjoy the scent, and I've pretty much conditioned my body to relate this scent to sleep! You deserve this investment in your skin, and I promise you'll feel the wisdom and truth that radiates from the rollerball and the oil. Your skin will do more than thank you, you'll celebrate each other!

I love this facial oil and have been using it for months and almost finishing my second bottle. Thankfully I still have 2 new ones in the fridge. I looked out for those discount opportunities to get this oil because it’s so expensive! But oh, it’s so worth the cost in every drop. It smells strongly herbal and gives a grey cast when applied, but it is really great in smoothing my complexion and calming my pimples and the occasional rashes on my temples. In fact I used it under my makeup too. I found the grey cast to be only temporary and once you give it a few minutes to fully absorb into the skin layers, you’ll look just radiant and glowing.
